Tips To Maximize Your Porchfest Salt Lake Experience

With so much to choose from as Porches transform into stages that are set to perform a wide range of music (including jazz, classical, ethnic, alternative, rock, folk, hip-hop, blue grass, gospel and even a cimbalom); delicious food is being prepared; unique shopping is available among the artisan booths; the farmers market, yoga on the island and children’s activities, and an evening concert are all underway, how do you maximize your experience? Here are our tips to maximize your porchfest experience:

1. “Like” the Porchfest Salt Lake page on Facebook and stay up-to-date on all the latest news, including performance schedules, bands and locations. https://www.facebook.com/PorchfestSaltLake. 2. Plan your music experience by stopping by the Porchfest Salt Lake main booth starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the event to pick up a schedule.

4. Bring the kids and a wagon for ultimate transport in comfort!

5. Bring a folding chair in a bag.

6. Grab a take-out dinner from one of our fabulous local restaurants (or pack your

own) and enjoy a picnic on the islands of the neighborhood.

7. Pack something refreshing like cold drinks and fresh fruit; or purchase refreshments throughout the day from our best of the best food trucks that will be stationed throughout the event. You won’t go hungry.

8. Do some shopping between shows at our local shops in the University Business District. Or join us for Yoga on the Islands of Porchfest. Classes through out the afternoon. Check the schedule for more details.

9. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses and wear sunscreen.

10. Be prepared to hear new music and soak in the community vibe.
