With so much to choose from as Porches transform into stages that are set to perform a wide range of music (including jazz, classical, ethnic, alternative, rock, folk, hip-hop, blue grass, gospel and even a cimbalom); delicious food is being prepared; unique shopping is available among the artisan booths; the farmers market, yoga on the island and children’s activities, and an evening concert are all underway, how do you maximize your experience? Here are our tips to maximize your porchfest experience:<\/b><\/p>\n

1. \u201cLike\u201d the Porchfest Salt Lake page on Facebook and stay up-to-date on all the latest news, including performance schedules, bands and locations. https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PorchfestSaltLake. Added bonus you get 5 free raffle tickets for fabulous gifts with your “like”. Just check in at the main Porchfest Salt Lake book in the heart of the event for your free tickets.<\/p>\n

2. Plan your music experience by stopping by the Porchfest Salt Lake main booth starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the event to pick up a schedule.<\/p>\n

3. Ride your bike from porch to porch. If you don\u2019t have a bike,<\/p>\n

4. Bring the kids and a wagon for ultimate transport in comfort!<\/p>\n

5. Bring a folding chair in a bag.<\/p>\n

6. Grab a take-out dinner from one of our fabulous local restaurants (or pack your<\/p>\n

own) and enjoy a picnic on the islands of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

7. Pack something refreshing like cold drinks and fresh fruit; or purchase refreshments throughout the day from our best of the best food trucks that will be stationed throughout the event. You won\u2019t go hungry.<\/p>\n

10. Be prepared to hear new music and soak in the community vibe.<\/p>\n
